Your dream role:
- Data is at the heart of our business, whether it be analysing the thousands of parts needed to build our vehicles, providing insight on reliability issues from our warranty spend or predicting customer behavior from our sales data. We’ve a vast amount of data at our disposal, all of which needs to be mined, analysed and acted upon if we’re to achieve our growth plans.
- As the Business Intelligence Analyst in the BI team, you’ll play a pivotal role in transforming our data into one of our biggest assets, getting involved with all departments to add real value to our business.
- You’ll be responsible for performing development activities from gathering requirements and designing solutions, through developing code and reports, to testing and release.
- You’ll design and build the data logic, data models and interfaces for Qlik dashboards, providing a scalable and reusable solution.
- Successful collaboration with end users and stakeholders to add value to their reporting will be key.
- You’ll highlight issues with data cleansing and validity and develop processes to rectify these going forward.
- Ultimately you’ll produce clear and effective dashboards and automated reports that connect the business and provide one version of the truth.

What you will bring:
- It’s a technically challenging position, so it’s essential that you’re able to demonstrate success in a similar role as defined in this advert, with at least 1 years’ experience using QlikView, Qlik Sense or a similar dashboarding tool, as well as NPrinting or a similar automated reporting tool.
- You’ll have strong data acquisition, manipulation and analysis skills, with good SQL and ETL knowledge.
- You’ll have the ability to uncover new data insight and pursue this to realise business benefits.
- Ideally you’ll have prior working knowledge of ERP systems with Syspro as the preferred background.
- You’ll have strong communication and interpersonal skills, and be comfortable influencing at all levels of the business.
- Finally, you’ll have a high attention to detail as well as the ability to think outside the box, not being afraid to challenge the norm where appropriate.

Duties and responsibilities in detail:
- Design & build the data logic, data models and interfaces for Qlik dashboards.
- Perform development activities from gathering requirements and designing solutions, through developing code / reports, to testing and release / deployment.
- Collaborate with end users, stakeholders and support partners to ensure value is added and actions are taken as a result of BI development.
- Optimise applications from the back end script and reload timings through to front end chart performance.
- Design Data Models & QVDs in Qlik to provide a scalable and reusable solution.
- Design front end applications using QlikView and Qlik Sense.
- Explore new Qlik Sense functionality and how it can be applied to add business value.
- Utilise scripting language to meet complex business requirements.
- Manage suite of automated reports through NPrinting.
- Respond to helpdesk tickets in a timely and efficient manner.
- Current projects to support include Executive KPIs, the Contract Health Check, Aftermarket Operations and Sales Pipeline Reporting.
